What did I eat?
I was invited to a special tasting menu by ChineseBites to sample some of their menu items.
Garlic Butter Seafood Party
- I like how here the seafood boils come with a bit of everything so you don’t have to deal with ordering different seafood by the pound. It comes with crab legs, mussels, clams, prawns, potatoes, and corn on the cob
- The garlic butter sauce was my favourite because it was flavourful, but the taste of the seafood didn’t get lost in it.
- My favourite things were the crab legs and corn on the cob.
Spicy Seafood Party
- The spicy sauce had a bit of heat, but it wasn’t crazy spicy.
Golden Fried Pepper Salt Calamari
- I loved the toppings on this calamari because it was the perfect balance of salty and spicy flavours
- The calamari was tender and addictive to eat.
House Spicy Spot Prawns
- Spot prawns are always delicious and these were prepared well and topped with chilis and garlic
Chinese Pork Burgers
- I honestly thought this was a very strange dish to serve at a seafood restaurant and I would never think to order it, but they were actually delicious
- The pork belly was tender and fatty and the bun was soft and chewy
Skewers
- I loved the skewers here because they were like the fancy upscale version of night market skewers.
- We had beef, lamb, and chicken and all of them were tender and meaty.
Herbal Coconut Mussels
- I didn’t care for this dish because I enjoyed the mussels in the seafood party more
- I also thought it was weird that the bread was so thick and soft. It just didn’t go together that well.
- These little lobster tails were really good.
- They were super garlicky, which I was okay with because I love garlic, but if you don’t like a strong garlic flavour these may be too overwhelming.
- After a heavy meal this was a really nice way to end it off.
- The cake was light, fluffy, and had the perfect amount of sweetness to it.

Final Thoughts?
As far as seafood boils go 21 Nautical Miles has my favourite one around because it comes with an assortment of items. The atmosphere here is really nice too, but almost a little too nice for getting down and dirty and digging around a pile of seafood.
